Arsenal fans were accusing Sead Kolasinac of ducking out of the way of Kevin De Bruyne’s shot during the Gunners’ clash against Manchester City on Sunday.

Freddie Ljungberg’s side were trailing by three goals at half-time as De Bruyne scored twice, while the Belgian also set up Raheem Sterling, who tapped in from close range.

De Bruyne put the Premier League champions ahead in the second minute as he met Gabriel Jesus’ cutback with a brilliant first-time effort which flew into Arsenal’s goal.

But Gunners supporters were upset with Kolasinac’s inability to block the effort as television replays caught the defender moving his head in the opposite direction to where the ball was heading.

Kolasinac was then at fault for City’s second goal as he failed to realise that Sterling was lurking at the back post and the England international met De Bruyne’s ball across to finish past Bernd Leno.

The Arsenal defender was then forced off five minutes before the half-time whistle with a suspected ankle injury.

And with Kieran Tierney already sidelined for three months with a dislocated shoulder, Arsenal now face a selection headache at left-back.
