Declan Rice believes Jack Wilshere can be West Ham’s key man in their bid to secure Premier League survival.

David Moyes’ side are out of the relegation zone but only on goal difference with just nine games left to go.

Wilshere, meanwhile, has made just eight appearances in all competitions this season as the midfielder continues to be hampered by injuries.

However, Rice has revealed that Wilshere is now fully fit and believes the former Arsenal midfielder could be the difference West Ham need in their fight to remain in the Premier League.

‘We were unlucky away at Liverpool, we gave away silly goals there, could’ve been avoided, we could’ve easily got a point there,’ Rice told Soccer AM.

‘We beat Southampton, played them off the pitch. We played Arsenal and in hindsight we should’ve beat them 2-0 or 3-0, we missed some great chances there.

‘Going back into it, we’ve had a break, the lads are keeping fit and fresh, there’s no reason why we can’t hit the last nine games running.

‘I think one thing that’s good for us now is that we don’t have anyone injured, everyone is back available and fit.

‘One player I want to see back playing is Wilshere. I think he’ll make a difference.

‘The guy is ridiculous in training, the quality he’s got, I just want to see him play injury-free again.

‘I know that’s what he wants and he’ll make such a difference to our side, as well as everyone else.’
