Marcos Alonso has named Guti Hernandez, Andres Iniesta and Cesc Fabregas as the best players he’s played with.

The Chelsea left-back was quizzed over who he considers to be the top player he’s lined up alongside, but couldn’t split three of his compatriots.

In Alonso’s sole appearance for Real Madrid – where he came off the bench to replace Gonzalo Higuain – both he and Guti were used substitutes in a 2-0 win over Racing Santander.

He teamed up with Barcelona legend Iniesta, who currently plays in the J-League for Vissel Kobe, during his time with the national team.

Former Arsenal midfielder Fabregas is who Alonso considers to be the best player he teamed up with at Chelsea.

‘Best player I have ever played with has to be between Guti at Real Madrid, Iniesta with the national team and Fabregas at Chelsea,’ Alonso said in a Q&A on Chelsea’s Instagram.

As for players he looked up to before his own playing days, Alonso picked out AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini and Manchester United great Ryan Giggs.

‘Players I used to look up to, defensively Maldini, offensively Ryan Giggs,’ he added.
