Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette both agree that Nicolas Pepe is Arsenal’s most skillful player.

The Ivory Coast international has been criticised in some parts for failing to make a big impact since his £72million transfer from Lille but he has at least done enough to convince his team-mates that he has the talent to succeed in the Premier League.

And Aubameyang and Lacazette waxed lyrical about the 24-year-old winger’s silky footwork.

Asked who was the most skillful player at the club, both agreed: ‘Nico.’

Lacazette continued: ‘Nico, there are some days… like in Dubai a few days ago, he took the ball and tap, tap, tap, nuts [nutmegs], come back one player went like…

‘On the floor!’ Aubameyang chipped in.

Asked by Wright if they can laugh at the person who gets ruined in training, Aubameyang laughed: ‘Of course! We have to. It’s bad, but…’

‘It’s normal,’ Lacazette added with a smile.

Wright was in no doubt over who his most skillful team-mate was.

‘Mine was obviously Dennis [Bergkamp],’ Wright said. ‘Dennis was amazing.’
