Alexander Lacazette has no intention of joining Inter Milan this summer, according to reports in France.

The Serie A side are one of several suitors for the Frenchman, who has two years left of his contract at Arsenal.

Atletico Madrid have also been credited with an interest but L’Equipe claim Inter have made an approach to sign Lacazette.

Inter are on the hunt for a proven goalscorer with star striker Lautaro Martinez poised for a big move in the near future.

Barcelona are believed to be the frontrunners to land Martinez and Inter had identified Lacazette, 29, as an excellent replacement option.

But Lacazette is not interested in the switch and has made that ‘clear’ to Inter.

Arsenal are facing an uncertain transfer window with Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang linked with rival clubs.

Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain Chelsea are reportedly keeping tabs on Aubameyang, who was heavily linked with Barcelona last January.

The Gunners have had to scale back their transfer budget and wage bill due to the financial fall-out of the coronavirus pandemic.

Players like Lacazette and Aubameyang have already agreed to a 12.5 per cent wage cut.

Mikel Arteta has been told to focus on free agents and swap deals, but Arsenal should have more funds available if Aubameyang or Lacazette is sold.

Arsenal’s players are back in training ahead of the restart of the 2019/20 season and will headline the first night of action against Manchester City on 17 June.
