Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard admits he is ‘flattered’ to be linked with a move to Arsenal.

The 22-year-old has been in sublime form for the Scottish champions this season with 27 goals in 45 appearances in all competitions.

Edouard joined Celtic on loan from Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 before his move was made permanent in a £9 million deal a year later.

After impressing for Celtic, the striker has been heavily linked with a switch to Arsenal, with reports claiming that Mikel Arteta is considering him as a replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who could leave the Gunners this summer.

However, Edouard insists he is only focused on his future with Celtic.

‘It shows you are working hard and doing the right things as a player,’ Edouard said after being named the Scottish Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year.

‘It is flattering, but I just concentrate on trying to play well for Celtic.

‘That’s what I am focused on at the moment.

‘Of course, winning 10-in-a-row is very important for the club, the players and the fans.

‘Of course I would love to be part of it. No-one knows what will happen in the future, but I want to be a part of it.

‘At the moment, I am still under contract with Celtic and my priority is to get back playing again. In the future, we will see what happens.

‘My first target right now is to play football again after so much time away from the pitch. I actually only set personal targets for myself once the season actually starts.’
