Arsenal have endured a torrid return to Premier League action ssince the coronavirus hiatus and face a trip to Southampton on Thursday night as they look to find some form.

The Gunners were thrashed 3-0 by Manchester City last week, before a morale-sapping 2-1 defeat to Brighton at the weekend as they fell to a last minute winner.

The back-to-back losses have seen Mikel Arteta’s side fall to 11th in the Premier League table and any hopes of a Champions League spot vanquished.

In contrast, Southampton enjoyed their return to top flight action with a 3-0 romp against Norwich and victory for the Saints on Thursday night would see them go level on points with Arsenal.
