Aston Villa could be relegated on Tuesday evening if results do not go their way, or they could find themselves in pole position to stay in the Premier League, if they can beat Arsenal.

Villa host the Gunners after Watford take on Manchester City earlier in the evening and if the Hornets lose and Villa win, Dean Smith’s side will be in a vastly improved situation, especially if there is a significant goal difference swing.

Villa are 18th and three points behind Watford in 17th, with the Hornets holding a superior goal difference of four, but that could all disappear on Tuesday evening.

However, if Watford get something against City and Villa cannot match or better it, then Villa are down.

Arsenal are coming off a sensational victory over Manchester City on Saturday night in the FA Cup and can climb to eighth in the table with three points.
