Dani Ceballos has indicated that he would be happy to remain at Arsenal for another season.

The 23-year-old is currently on loan from Real Madrid for the remainder of the season but his long-term future remains unclear.

Ceballos has remained adamant that his long-term ambition is to become a first-team regular at Madrid, but the midfielder admitted in an interview last month that he is unlikely to achieve that next season with Zinedine Zidane.

Under Mikel Arteta, Ceballos has gradually become more influential in the team and the Spaniard has quickly formed a solid midfield partnership alongside Granit Xhaka since the Premier League restarted.

And now Ceballos has given his biggest hint yet that he would be willing to remain at Arsenal for another campaign in a message to supporters.

In his post on Instagram, Ceballos urged his teammates to recover quickly after failing to hold out for the win against Leicester and the midfielder signed off with: ‘This is my team! Let’s go Gunners!’.

Arteta has also indicated that he would be keen to keep Ceballos for another season, given Arsenal’s transfer budget could be restricted this summer as they look set to miss out on a place in the Champions League once again.

‘I am really happy with him,’ said the Arsenal manager when asked about keeping Ceballos.

‘I think it is something that the club has to go a little bit further with Real Madrid on.

‘At the moment he is playing very well, I am really happy with him and he is a big talent and still has a lot of things to improve.’
