Matteo Guendouzi will not respond to Mikel Arteta’s warnings and will be sold by Arsenal this summer, according to Kevin Campbell.

Arteta dropped the Frenchman after he grabbed Brighton striker Neal Maupay by the throat and Guendouzi has not played since Arsenal’s defeat to the Seagulls.

Guendouzi has been training by himself during his period of exile and speculation is rampant the midfielder wants to leave Arsenal.

Arteta has refused to go into detail about dropping Guendouzi but recently warned his entire squad they could get on board with his demands or face leaving the club.

Campbell, who made over 200 appearances for Arsenal, suggested Guendouzi has been training by himself because he has refused to make changes.

‘I think that Guendouzi will leave the club this summer. Arteta has come in and he’s set a lot of disciplinary rules down,’ Campbell told Genting Bet.

‘Guendouzi has fallen foul of those rules. I don’t think he’s the type of player who is going to knuckle down and that’s why he’s training alone.

‘The writing is on the wall on this one, and I can’t see him coming back into the fold unless he changes his attitude.’

Guendouzi is not the only Gunner who appears to have fallen foul of Arteta.

Mesut Ozil has also been sidelined by the head coach and was reported as a doubt for Arsenal’s clash with Liverpool on Wednesday night due to a back injury.

But the German playmaker then posted on his Instagram that he was fit and ‘ready’ to play.

Arsenal’s defeat to north London rivals Tottenham leave them languishing in ninth in the Premier League table and hopes of securing European football next season appear dead.
