Arsenal and Chelsea meet in the FA Cup final on Saturday at Wembley and both managers will see it as a golden opportunity to lift their first piece of silverware in management.

Frank Lampard took over the Blues last summer while Mikel Arteta took charge of Arsenal in December and both can complete their first seasons in style by lifting the trophy in north London.

Chelsea have already had a solid campaign, retaining their Champions League place and this would be a glistening cherry on top of Lampard’s impressive start to top flight management.

Arteta has a bigger job on his hands and has had half the time to do it, so cannot be judged too harshly, but Arsenal’s eighth-place finish is not where the club expects to be and FA Cup glory would provide a beacon of things to come for the Gunners.
