It was a largely successful week for English sides in Europe, but the focus returns to matters in the Premier League this weekend with some hugely intriguing matches.

Top of the bill are Manchester United who will be looking to follow up an impressive win in Paris by piling more pressure on Frank Lampard whose Chelsea side haven’t really got going yet.

Elsewhere, Arsenal entertain Leicester at the Emirates, while freescoring Tottenham travel to Burnley who face the unenviable task of attempting to blunt the rampant Harry Kane.

As ever, Betfair ambassador Dimitar Berbatov previews the action for Metro.co.uk…

Aston Villa v Leeds United

Aston Villa, oh my god! Second! Nobody has expected this, it’s their best start in almost 100 years, and I see them keeping it up. I like Leeds a lot, they were unlucky against Wolves, but Villa can do it and be the next Leicester maybe! It’s impossible to say why they’ve started so well, there are many possible reasons, but they have gotten the luck they deserve. Prediction: 2-1

Betfair Exchange Odds: Villa- 11/8, Leeds- 9/4, Draw- 11/4

West Ham v Man City

I’m not sure West Ham will score three goals if they concede three here! City will expect to win this, and they should be able to edge it. They need to step up now, and start getting towards the top of the table, especially while van Dijk is out for Liverpool. Prediction: 1-3

Betfair Exchange Odds: West Ham- 15/2, Man City- 2/5, Draw- 9/2

Fulham v Crystal Palace

Fulham drew last time, and this is a step in the right direction, and Crystal Palace are a team that they should be able to beat too. They need a win soon, and I think this could be the game for it. Prediction: 1-0

Betfair Exchange Odds: Fulham- 15/8, Palace- 9/5, Draw- 9/4

Man United v Chelsea

This is a huge game, after a huge week for United. It’s a big week for Chelsea too, but in a slightly different way. Chelsea did the same as Spurs at the weekend, and it is clear they have a problem of some sort. I think both teams are evenly enough matched, and a draw is a likely result. Prediction: 1-1

Betfair Exchange Odds: Man Utd- 6/4, Chelsea- 2/1, Draw- 11/4

Liverpool vs Sheffield United

I think Liverpool, even without van Dijk, should be able to win this game. Sheffield haven’t looked themselves this season, and they will struggle to change that against Liverpool. Prediction: 3-0

Betfair Exchange Odds: Liverpool- 2/7, Sheffield Utd – 12/1, Draw- 6/18

Southampton v Everton

You can’t underestimate Southampton, and they have some good players. Everton want to continue their run, and I want to see them do that, and give the big teams a scare. They should win this. Prediction: 0-2

Betfair Exchange Odds: Southampton- 7/4, Everton- 13/8, Draw- 5/2

Wolves v Newcastle

I like Wolves a lot, and Newcastle often concede goals a little too easily for my liking. Wolves can get their season back on track here. Prediction: 1-0

Betfair Exchange Odds: Wolves- 4/5, Newcastle- 9/2, Draw- 5/2

Arsenal v Leicester

Leicester just haven’t been consistent. They beat City, but have not performed since then. Arsenal have played great football, and are finding their feet now under Arteta. They can win this game I think. Prediction: 2-0

Betfair Exchange Odds: Arsenal- Evens, Leicester- 3/1, Draw- 11/4

Brighton v West Brom

I think Brighton can win this, they’ve been unlucky a few times this season. It’s about time they started turning this bad luck into results, but West Brom haven’t won yet, and I don’t see them changing that here. Prediction: 1-0

Betfair Exchange Odds: Brighton- 5/6, West Brom- 7/2, Draw- 3/1

Burnley v Spurs

Spurs have too much talent, and need to be beating teams like Burnley all the time. I will go with them, I want to see them winning games and concentrating going forward. Prediction: 1-3

Betfair Exchange Odds: Burnley- 5/1, Spurs- 4/6, Draw- 3/1
