Michael Owen expects Arsenal and Tottenham to ease past Dundalk and Royal Antwerp in the Europa League, and has predicted more success for Rangers.

Mikel Arteta’s Gunners welcome Irish side Dundalk to the Emirates on Thursday night, hoping to build on their opening Europa League victory over Rapid Vienna.

Jose Mourinho’s Spurs, meanwhile, beat LASK last week and will look to maintain their momentum away at Antwerp.

Scottish clubs Celtic and Rangers are also in action – facing Lille and Lech Poznan respectively – while Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City make the trip to Athens.

On Arsenal’s upcoming clash, former England striker Owen told BetVictor: ‘Irish side Dundalk travel to London to take on Arsenal after suffering a defeat against Molde in their Europa League opener.

‘The Gunners worked hard to get their win away against Rapid Vienna, and they’ll be aiming for no less than maximum points here.

‘If the home side are in full flight, I can see a long night ahead for the Irish side. Arsenal 5-0 Dundalk.’

Michael Owen's Europa League predictions

Arsenal 5-0 Dundalk

Royal Antwerp 0-2 Tottenham

Tottenham got back on track at the weekend with a well earned win away against Burnley.

Spurs will come into this fully confident that they can take all 3 points. With Kane and Son at the top of their game, I can’t see anything other than an away victory here.

Rangers 2-0 Poznan

What a seven days it was last week for Rangers. Steven Gerrard’s side followed up their Old Firm win with a victory on the road against Standard Liege.

Kemar Roofe certainly staked his claim for goal of the tournament with an unbelievable effort from the half-way line. Rangers go into this as favourites, and I think the good vibes at Ibrox could continue here for the Gers.

Lille 1-1 Celtic

Winless in 3 matches, Neil Lennon’s Celtic side are badly in need of a result. The Northern Irishman has conceded that his side are short on confidence, but they will see this as their ideal platform to start firing again.

However, Lille looked strong in their 4-1 win away to Sparta Prague last week. This one should be tight, so I’m siding with a draw.

Athens 1-2 Leicester

Leicester bounced back from consecutive defeats with a win in Europe and then an impressive smash and grab win at the Emirates on Monday.

Talisman Jamie Vardy scored on his return, and that coupled with the return of James Maddison to full fitness, means the Foxes have a dangerous look about them. This should pose a tougher test in Athens, but I think Brendan Rogers’ side will come out on top.
