It was another hugely encouraging week for our sides in Europe, but the Premier League, and the increasingly intriguing race for the title, takes centre stage this weekend.

Champions Liverpool, who have coped admirably up to this point with a raft of defensive injuries, could go back to the top with a win at Brighton before attention turns to Stamford Bridge on Sunday when Chelsea play host to high-flying Tottenham.

As ever, Betfair Ambassador Dimitar Berbatov previews the action for Metro.co.uk…

Brighton v Liverpool

Brighton got a massive result when beating Villa last weekend. I thought Liverpool would struggle against Leicester, as the champions were missing key players, but they won comfortably. They’ll win here again. Prediction: 0-2

Betfair Exchange Odds: Brighton – 9/2, Draw – 7/2, Liverpool – 4/6

Man City v Burnley

City are 13th and need to pick up the pace as soon as possible if they’re going to win the title this season. A home match against Burnley is a good chance for Pep Guardiola’s men to do exactly that. Prediction: 3-0

Betfair Exchange Odds: Man City – 2/11, Draw – 8/1, Burnley – 19/1

Everton v Leeds

The Toffees got back to winning ways last weekend against Fulham, although Carlo Ancelotti’s men weren’t at their best in the second-half. Both teams like to attack so I can see goals at Goodison. Prediction: 2-2

Betfair Exchange Odds: Everton – 21/20, Draw – 14/5, Leeds – 14/5

West Brom v Sheffield United

Two teams without a win. This won’t be pretty but there’s a lot at stake when the bottom two meet at the Hawthorns. Both struggle to score goals. I’m going with a narrow home win. Prediction: 1-0

Betfair Exchange Odds: West Brom – 7/4, Draw – 9/4, Sheffield United – 2/1

Southampton v Man Utd

This will be a tough game for United and it will be a good one for neutrals. Saints are doing really well and their success is going under the radar. But I think United can take an important three points here. Prediction: 1-2

Betfair Exchange Odds: Southampton – 3/1, Draw – 11/4, Man United – 21/10

Chelsea v Tottenham

It’s third v first at Stamford Bridge. Jose Mourinho will try to keep it tight and hit the Blues on the break but I think Chelsea can compete with them. I expect a draw. Prediction: 1-1

Betfair Exchange Odds: Chelsea – 6/5, Draw – 11/4, Tottenham – 11/4

Arsenal v Wolves

I like Mikel Arteta’s approach to the game, but at the moment Arsenal are struggling, even though they’ve improved defensively. Wolves haven’t been at their best yet this season. Prediction: 1-0

Betfair Exchange Odds: Arsenal – 6/5, Draw – 5/2, Wolves – 14/5

Leicester v Fulham

Fulham have too many weaknesses in defence so this is a perfect opportunity for Leicester to return to winning ways after losing at Liverpool. Prediction: 3-0

Betfair Exchange Odds: Leicester – 4/7, Draw – 7/2, Fulham – 6/1

West Ham v Aston Villa

Two teams in the top half of the table who will be fairly pleased with how they’ve started the season. They’re both improving and I think they’re evenly-matched. Prediction: 1-1

Betfair Exchange Odds: West Ham – 11/8, Draw – 11/4, Aston Villa – 11/5
