FA Cup third round draw: Arsenal and Liverpool face Premier League opposition

The FA Cup third round draw has been made as the biggest clubs in English football join the competition and prepare to begin their campaigns in January.

Manchester United are hosting Championship side Watford, Arsenal take on Newcastle at the Emirate and Liverpool must go to Aston Villa.

Chelsea have a match they will expect to win at home to Morecambe, while Tottenham go to non-league side Marine in their opening contest of this season’s competition.

Wayne Rooney will take his Derby County side to another non-league outfit, Chorley.

The draw was made ahead of the final second round clash between Canvey Island and Boreham Wood on Monday night.

When are the third round matches played?

The fixtures will be played over the weekend of 9 and 10 January 2021.
