Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos admits he’s not a fan of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Antoine Griezmann’s ‘silly’ pre-planned celebrations.

Aubameyang celebrated with a Black Panther mask during Arsenal’s Europa League clash against Rennes last year, while he has also worn a spiderman mask after scoring for Borussia Dortmund.

Griezmann, meanwhile, has celebrated with a Fortnite dance on several occasions after scoring for France and Atletico Madrid.

And Kroos believes the elaborate celebrations are not setting a good example for younger players.

‘If there are rehearsed dances or choreographies, I find it silly,’ Kroos said on his podcast ‘Einfach mal Luppen’.

‘Celebrating with masks, that’s where it ends for me.

‘I don’t think that’s a good role model either. What nonsense.’

Kroos also criticised the introduction of the Nations League which has added even more games to the congested fixture schedule.

‘With the invention of all these new things we seem to be just the puppets of FIFA and UEFA,’ said Kroos.

‘These competitions are created to suck everything out of every single player physically and to suck out as much money as possible.

‘When certain things work well it is a good idea to leave them that way.’
