The European football is on hold for a couple of months, but there is not letup in the action with a full round Premier League fixtures to savour.

Chelsea and Manchester City both suffered significant setbacks on Tuesday which has given an opportunity for title rivals Liverpool and Spurs to pull further away when they meet at Anfield this evening.

At the other end of the table, another defeat could spell the end for Mikel Arteta whose struggling Arsenal side face in-form Southampton at the Emirates with the Gunners looking to avoid a fifth straight defeat on their own turf.

As ever, Betfair Ambassador Dimitar Berbatov previews the action for Metro.co.uk…

Arsenal vs Southampton

Southampton are fourth and Arsenal are in big trouble. I think Southampton are going to take this game and surprise them. They will increase the crisis at Arsenal. The pressure is bigger for a big club when you are going through a tough phase like this and the pressure is immense on Mikel Arteta right now. Prediction 1-3.

Betfair Exhange Odds: Arsenal 6/5, Draw 11/4, Southampton 13/5

Leicester vs Everton

I will go for Leicester in this one. If they win, they go top of the table, that will be big motivation for the players, don’t forget there are still players in that changing room that were there when they won the league last time, so they know how big these moments can be. I will go with them. I like Vardy and they are performing well. Prediction 2-1.

Betfair Exchange Odds: Leicester 6/5, Draw 13/5, Everton 11/4

Leeds vs Newcastle

I will go for Leeds. I think Leeds can progress and can play even better than they are doing at the moment, they are a young side and they have had some great performances so far. They will want to get back to winning ways and I think they will have too much for Newcastle. Prediction 2-1

Betfair Exchange Odds: Leeds 4/5, Draw 16/5, Newcastle 7/2

Fulham vs Brighton

Let’s go Fulham. I’m a bit biased here, but I will go for them based on their performance against Liverpool. That was an inspired performance and they need to be pumped for this game. A lot can change with a win here. They can go up the league with a win here and against direct competition for the bottom places, they need to give 110% and give three points. They want to win, but at the end of the day a draw is a draw. They just can’t leave the pitch without any points. Prediction 2-1.

Betfair Exchange Odds: Fulham 2/1, Draw 5/2, Brighton 8/5

Liverpool vs Tottenham

Hopefully this will be a good game to watch and not fall asleep like the Manchester Derby. I might go for Spurs. They are my favourites this season to do something special. Hopefully, they will play to their strengths and keep their consistency and concentration levels throughout the season. Hopefully they can get the points and get them dirty throughout the season. Mourinho is instilling this thinking of just get me the three points even if it is just 1-0 wins every game, that will do the job. Yes they playing Liverpool, but on what I’ve seen this season I will go for Tottenham. Prediction 0-2.

Betfair Exchange Odds: Liverpool 11/10, Draw 3/1, Spurs 16/5

West Ham vs Crystal Palace

I will go with West Ham. They are surprising even me this season – they are playing well and have made a surprisingly good start to the season so hopefully they can keep it up. Hopefully they will do something different this year and challenge for a Europa League place. Hopefully they don’t get to 40 points and just stop playing like they are now. Prediction 2-0.

Betfair Exchange Odds: West Ham 5/4, Draw 5/2, Crystal Palace11/4

Aston Villa vs Burnley

Remember when Aston Villa were first? I think they will be happy with how the season is going for them so far. They had some good and bad games. Burnley obviously beat Arsenal last time, but I think Aston Villa will have enough in this one. Prediction 1-0.

Betfair Exchange Odds: Aston Villa 4/5, Draw 3/1, Burnley 4/1

Sheffield United vs Manchester United

Sheffield United have one point from 12 games. You know sometimes you have teams where they are playing badly and then bang they get three points against a big team but I will go with Manchester United. I’ve said it before, if Arsenal cannot beat Burnley then you can’t expect anything from them. They didn’t beat Burnley, so if United are aiming high in the table then they need a win against Sheffield United. They also have a game in hand which is also really important so I will go with them. Prediction 0-3.

Betfair Exchange Odds: Sheffield United 13/2, Draw 4/1, Man United 1/2
