Red Bull Salzburg forward Dominik Szoboszlai will make a decision on his future by December 15th, with Arsenal prepared to sign the attacker in January if he decides to leave the club.

The 20-year-old has attracted attention from across Europe for his fine displays for the Austrian side this term, scoring twice in six Champions League group stage fixtures.

The Hungarian has a £23.5million release clause in his contract but though that’s an affordable level for most of the clubs interested in the attacker, he’s yet to decide if he’d accept a move away from the club in January or whether his long-term future would be best served by seeing out the season in Austria.

The Hungary international is wanted by Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig, who can all offer the forward Champions League football in 2021.

However, Arsenal would provide the greater opportunity of regular first team football and Szoboszlai will decide by December 15th whether he will opt to leave in January to a team of his choice or continue for the rest of the season in Austria, according to Sky Germany.

Arsenal have suffered from a lack of creativity this term and the Gunners have scored just two goals in their last seven Premier League matches – one of which was a penalty from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Old Trafford.

Finances are tight at the Emirates but Szoboszlai is considered a bargain at £23.5m and Arteta’s board would be more likely to sign off such a transfer, as seen with their £45m allocation of funds for Thomas Partey.
