Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has finally broken his silence following Arsenal’s defeat in Sunday’s north London derby against Tottenham.

An already confidence starved Arsenal side were comprehensively beaten by their local rivals following first-half goals from Son Heung-min and Harry Kane.

Mikel Arteta’s side have now lost five of their last six of their first 11 games of the new campaign and lie in 15th place following their worst ever start to a Premier League season.

Aubameyang’s own displays, meanwhile, has deteriorated rapidly and even Arteta’s decision to restore him to his favourite central role has failed to spark a return to the goalscoring form which persuaded the Gunners to offer their skipper a new long-term contract in the summer.

The Gabon international is without a goal from open play since the first game of the season, but the former Borussia Dortmund star insists he will not hide in a bid to galvanise his team and kick-start Arsenal’s season.

He wrote on Instagram: ‘Don’t hide, Everyday question yourself, work, Never give up!! this is how we do!!’
