Arsenal host Newcastle on Monday night in the Premier League with the Gunners looking to climb into the top half of the table and Newcastle hoping to drag themselves away from a relegation battle.

Mikel Arteta’s men have recovered from a sticky patch and are now unbeaten in five games, but there is still a long way to go, as their turgid goalless draw with Crystal Palace last time out proved.

However, they will see this as an opportunity to get back to winning ways agaisnt a Newcastle team that have been absolutely woeful of late.

Steve Bruce’s side have gone eight games without a victory and scored just four goals in that time.

They picked up a surprise draw with Liverpool in that run, but also handed Sheffield United their only Premier League of the season in their last outing.

The Magpies did also take the Gunners into extra time in the third round of the FA Cup earlier this month, but Arsenal eventually came away with a 2-0 win.
