Shakhtar Donetsk winger Manor Solomon is keen on a move to Arsenal, according to reports.

The Gunners are understood to have made an initial approach to sign the 21-year-old with a view to bringing him to north London at the end of the season.

And according to Football.London, a source close to Solomon claimed that the Israel international would be ‘delighted’ if a move to Arsenal came to fruition.

The report also claims that super agent, Pini Zahavi, is involved in the deal and has been negotiating with Arsenal’s technical director Edu.

Solomon was also offered to Arsenal last year but the move broke down when Raul Sanllehi, who was the Gunners’ head of football, left the club.

Leeds United have also been linked with a move for Solomon, who has impressed this season with five goals in 17 appearances for Shakhtar.

Speaking in an interview with Israeli station Radio 5 this week, Solomon’s agent, Ronen Katsav, indicated that the winger is likely to leave Shakhtar at the end of the campaign.

‘I think the bigger transfers will happen in the summer, because January is always corrections,’ he said.

‘Secondly, the corona is affecting, and things will be clearer in the summer than now. But anything can happen.’

Solomon, who was signed from Israeli side Maccabi Petah Tikva in a £5 million deal in 2019, still has two years remaining on his contract with Shakhtar.
