WWE fans love Arsenal coming out to Kurt Angle’s entrance music during Crystal Palace match

Someone at Arsenal must really love WWE – this is getting silly now.

The Gunners – who have come out to Triple H’s iconic entrance song plenty of times in the past – took another dip into wrestling history after the break in Thursday night’s Premier League game against Crystal Palace.

As the teams came out for the second half at the Emirates, WWE fans were amazed to hear legend Kurt Angle’s memorable theme music blaring out.

Honestly, the only thing missing was tens of thousands of fans affectionately chanting ‘you suck’ at the bewildered players.

One Twitter user joked: ‘Arsenal coming out to kurt angle’s theme song? Don’t deserve the right, none of them have won an Olympic gold medal with a broken freakin’ neck! Oh its true it’s damn true. (sic)’

Another said: ‘One thing I do love about Arsenal this season is finding out which WWE superstar’s entrance theme we’ll come out to at half time. This time it was Kurt Angle’s.’

This comes just days after Arsenal – well, the person in charge of the tunes – paid an emotional tribute to Brodie Lee weeks after the late WWE and AEW star’s tragic death.

The wrestler – whose real name is Jon Huber – sadly died on December 26 from a non-Covid-related lung issue, and his AEW theme could be heard at halftime during the Gunners clash with Newcastle.

Since his death, the wrestling world has been paying its respects to the late star, and late last week a London artist revealed a mural in Shoreditch in his honour.

And despite Arsenal’s love for Triple H, The Game has actually gone on record in the past and revealed he supports London rivals West Ham.

He’s even compared the Hammers to WWE itself, previously insisting: ‘West Ham is probably the closest to what we do, with the passion of their fan base and their loyalty, right? That’s the closest to what we do.’
