Gabriel Martinelli had his Instagram account hacked less than an hour before Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Leeds United on Sunday.

The 19-year-old was named as a substitute for Arsenal’s match at the Emirates Stadium.

But shortly before the game, two unidentifiable people appeared during two separate live videos on Martinelli’s Instagram account.

The hackers also posted a series of Instagram-inspired artwork photos to Martinelli’s account.

The Brazilian’s bio was also deleted and replaced with: ‘Official Instagram Support channel. If there is an important development about your account, you will be notified through this channel.’

It’s understood that Arsenal have now notified Instagram about the breach of Martinelli’s account.

Martinelli, who has over one million followers on his Instagram account, has made just five Premier League appearances this season due to injury.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are currently 11th in the table ahead of their clash with Leeds and nine points off a top-four place.
