Kevin Campbell believes Martin Odegaard will make his full Arsenal debut in this weekend’s clash against Leeds United at the Emirates.

The Gunners signed the midfielder on loan from Real Madrid until the end of the season but he has been limited to two substitute appearances so far since his arrival in the January transfer window.

Mikel Arteta’s side have dropped down to 11th place in the Premier League table following defeats against Wolves and Aston Villa and will be looking to get back to winning ways when they host Leeds on Sunday.

After looking sharp when coming on in the second half of last weekend’s defeat to Villa, former Gunners striker Campbell feels Odegaard will make his first start for the club against Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

‘You would like to think that Odegaard will get a start,’ Campbell told Football Insider.

‘Emile Smith-Rowe has played a lot of football of late and Odegaard looked exciting against Aston Villa.

‘Will Arteta tinker with the system a little bit to get them both in there? Or, will he give Odegaard some more minutes. The young lad deserves it.

‘I think he will start or at the very least get a half against Leeds on Sunday.’

The Gunners will be without key duo Thomas Partey and Kieran Tierney, who have both been ruled out of the Leeds clash with injury.

£45million summer signing Partey is still struggling with the hamstring strain that forced him off against Villa, while left-back Tierney is yet to recover from a leg issue.
