Real Madrid have slapped a €25million (£22m) price tag on Dani Ceballos’s head as they look to cash in on the Arsenal loanee this summer.

Ceballos has spent the past two seasons on loan at the Emirates and they will now be able to make the move permanent if they wish.

The Spaniard has started just 10 of Arsenal’s Premier League matches this season and it remains to be seen if they will try and keep him in north London.

However, Real are desperate to sell as they look to raise funds for new players, according to La Razon.

Arsenal would be in pole position to sign the midfielder but they do face competition for his signature.

Real Betis view him as an attractive option to replace Nabil Fekir, who they are expecting to lose at the end of the season if they fail to qualify for Europe.

Betis will attempt to knock down Real Madrid’s asking price as they will not receive the full fee from any Fekir sale.

Lyon have a 30% sell-on clause, which means they will be handed a chunk of the transfer fee.

Arsenal are still hoping to secure European football in the back end of the 2020/21 season.

Mikel Arteta’s side face Leeds on Sunday as they look to at least maintain the nine-point gap between them and fourth-placed Liverpool, who face Leicester on Saturday.

They are still involved in the Europa League, which would provide a route back to the Champions League should they win the title.
