Bukayo Saka will be available for Arsenal against West Ham United on Sunday after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Saka was forced off at half-time during last Sunday’s north London derby against Tottenham and was left out of the squad for Thursday’s Europa League clash with Olympiacos.

Arsenal confirmed on Saturday evening Saka has ‘responded well to treatment’ having returned to training and is ready for Sunday – paving the way for him to link up with England for next week’s World Cup qualifiers after being named in Gareth Southgate’s squad.

Willian also missed Thursday’s clash with Olympiacos with a calf injury. The Brazilian has also returned to training and will be assessed ahead of Sunday’s trip across the capital to the London Stadium.

Arsenal have no other injury concerns ahead of the final game before the international break with Arteta coming up against his former manager David Moyes.

Arteta worked under Moyes for six years at Goodison Park after joining Everton as a 22-year-old and this week paid tribute to the Scot for having such a positive influence over his career.

‘I think he made me a better person, made me mature in the earlier stages of my career,” Arteta said.

‘He was really demanding and challenging but at the same time really, really supportive.

‘I really liked how he managed the group as well as the individuals. He really installed a real belief around the club to be together all the time, to look after each other, and nobody was more important than the team.

‘He really created a special atmosphere when we were together.’
