Kevin Campbell has urged Arsenal to ‘go all out for’ Achraf Hakimi if they see the Inter Milan right-back as the ‘best choice’ in the summer transfer window.

Hakimi has had an outstanding debut season with top-of-the-table Inter after completing a €40million (£34m) move from Real Madrid and his stellar performances have reportedly caught the attention of Arsenal and Chelsea.

Mikel Arteta is said to have identified Hakimi as a possible long-term replacement for Hector Bellerin should the Spaniard leave at the end of the campaign, with Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus chasing his signature.

Former Arsenal striker Campbell questions whether Inter would be willing to part with Hakimi given the key role the Moroccan has played in their success this term, from both an attacking and defensive viewpoint.

But he believes a summer move would be a no-brainer if the full-back is made available to the Gunners.

Arsenal are in the market for a right-back and Hakimi is a brilliant player,’ he told Football Insider.

‘I think the club will tread very carefully when they look who to sign this summer.

‘Will Inter Milan even sell Hakimi? They are looking great. Going after players that are performing at the peak is always difficult.

‘If the club see him as the best choice though they have got to go all out for him.’

Hakimi quickly adjusted to life in Italy following an impressive two-year loan spell with Borussia Dortmund and the Moroccan has gone on to rack up six goals and four assists in Serie A this season.

Asked about the speculation surrounding Hakimi’s future last week, his agent Alejandro Camano told Radio Kiss Kiss: ‘He is happy at Inter with Conte, who is an excellent coach.

‘Conte’s style of play suits Achraf and I think he will end up improving a lot because of this experience with the Nerazzurri.’
