Ainsley Maitland-Niles is attracting interest from the likes of Crystal Palace, Leeds and Monaco ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports.

The Arsenal midfielder, who is currently on loan at West Bromich Albion, struggled to get consistent game time at the Emirates and made the January switch to the Hawthorns.

Maitland-Niles has been a regular in his favoured midfield position under Sam Allardyce in the Baggies’ battle to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

According to the Mirror, Crystal Palace are the latest club in England’s top-flight to show an interest in the 23-year-old, while Leeds are also monitoring his progress.

Maitland-Niles is also said to have caught the eye of Ligue 1 side Monaco, with a decision looming for the Gunners over the future of their academy product in the next transfer window.

Arteta is currently undergoing a rebuild of his squad as he aims to get the north London club back competing with the cream of the Premier League crop.

The Gunners are currently down in ninth place in the table with six games left to play and will be looking to improve upon their eighth-placed finish last season.

The Spanish boss has already conceded that there will be an ‘unprecedented’ amount of business to be done in the summer to get his team in shape.’

‘We are planning what’s going to happen in the summer,’ Arteta said in March. ‘It will depend on where we finish, how we finish.

‘I think what we have to do in the summer is unprecedented for a club of this stature.

‘To do the amount of transactions that we have to make it tells you as well where we are.

‘I think it was very much needed and you want to improve, you want to do that.’
