Arsenal are reportedly one of the Premier League clubs monitoring Fulham midfielder Andre-Frank Anguissa ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Gunners are expected to strengthen their squad this summer after a disappointing season which has seen them languishing in mid-table for the majority of the campaign.

Following their Europa League exit at the hands of Unai Emery’s Villarreal last week, the north London club face the possibility of missing out on European football for the first time in 25 years.

According to the MailOnline, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Everton are among the clubs keeping tabs on Anguissa following Fulham’s failure to retain their Premier League status.

Scott Parker’s side were relegated to the Championship on Monday following their 2-0 defeat to Burnley, and the report states that Anguissa is now likely to be offloaded.

Arsenal to be on the lookout for a midfield partner for Thomas Partey, with Arteta keen on pairing two defensive midfielders in his side, and Anguissa is one of the players being looked at to fill the role.

Fulham are said to want a figure in the region of £20million to sell the 25-year-old Cameroon international.

The Gunners are also expected to let a number of players go in the summer, and Arteta is aware that there is much business to be done in the next transfer window.

‘There are so many things to do because we already have a lot of players on loan and a lot of players with contracts still that we need to sort,’ Arteta said on Tuesday.

‘It will depend what happens with a lot of those players and what we are able to recruit to improve the team, that is going to determine where we are.

‘We’ve been sitting down the whole year. We’ve been in constant communication and things will change, some things will stick to the plan that we already had and some other things will come out.

‘But we sit down very, very regularly to talk about those things.’
