Manchester United will take on Villarreal in the Europa League final.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s effectively booked their place in the final last week with a crushing 6-2 win over Roma in the first leg of their semi-final.

It was a wild second leg in the Italian capital however with Roma running out 3-2 winners – but another brace for Edinson Cavani helped seal an 8-5 aggregate win for United.

Trailing from the first leg, Arsenal needed a result to set up an all-English final.

But the Gunners fell woefully short again, held to a 0-0 draw at the Emirates, crashing out 2-1 on aggregate as Unai Emery got the last laugh against his former side.

When is the Europa League final?

The final will take place on Wednesday 26 May, three days before the Champions League final.

Kick-off is scheduled for 8pm BST.

Where is the Europa League final being held?

Manchester United and Villarreal will do battle at the Stadion Energa in Gdansk, Poland.

What TV channel will the Europa League final be shown on in the UK and will it be streamed?

BT Sport will be showing the game in the UK and in recent years they have shown it for free, without the need for a subscription.

It has also been available to stream for free on the BT Sport app, the BT Sport Player on their website and on their YouTube channel, however, whether this will be the case this year is yet to be confirmed.
